Norbert Heitker is a film director with extensive experience across commercials, music videos, television formats, and film. His work is defined by a strong visual signature, precise storytelling, and a refined sense of tone - developed through many years of working across diverse formats and narrative styles. Over the course of his career he has directed a wide range of visual productions, from large-scale live music formats and music videos to television productions, branded films and cinematic long-form projects. His work moves fluidly between entertainment, culture and commercial storytelling, always guided by a clear narrative perspective and a strong sense for atmosphere and timing. For many years he collaborated closely with the band DIE ÄRZTE, directing numerous music videos and large-scale live productions. His television work includes acclaimed productions such as MTV Unplugged for Die Ärzte and SIDO, where musical sensibility, dramaturgy and audience dynamics play a central role. Alongside his work in music and television, he has directed campaigns and films for international brands including AIRBUS, MERCEDES-BENZ, SIXT, NIVEA and OBI. His commercial work is characterized by precise concepts, emotional clarity and a subtle, narrative sense of humor. His filmography also includes documentary long-form storytelling, most notably the feature documentary WACKEN 3D – The Movie.
